I moved here 3.5 years ago from Tampa looking to make a fresh start. Since I've been here, I've hit more than my share of bumps in the road, but I have to say there is large part of me that has never been happier in my life. I've developed friendships with people who are honestly closer to me and a better support system than my family. I have a larger quantity of QUALITY friends than ever and Austin just feels like home.
Austin has some of the best professional networking groups around including Bootstrap Austin, Social Media Club Austin, and Austin Tech Happy Hour. The city also attracts visitors and professional to world class events and festivals through out the year. SXSW Festival alone delivers the freshest and most innovative interactive, film, and music trends and people to our very doorstep. It does not get better than that.
Through diligent networking and a few great opportunities, I am fortunate enough to be building my own business with current revenue coming from referral clients alone.
