Jamon Jaleki Horne, aka DJ J.A.M.O.N., was an originator, innovator, and major influencer in Austin’s house and hip-hop music scenes. He was loved by many and his contributions to Austin’s music will not be forgotten. DJ Heather will be lending her talents to the celebration, with all proceeds from the event going to Jamon’s family.

Austin’s Reggae Fest is an annual celebration of Reggae and Carribean music, with the proceeds benefiting the Central Texas Food Bank. The three day event will be headined this year by Tarrus Riley, Jesse Royal, and Akae Beka. Complementing the music will be delicious international food and hand-made arts & crafts from a variety of vendors.

The event is part of The Better Block‘s nationwide movement to educate, equip, and empower communities and their leaders to reshape and reactivate underutilized corridors and neighborhoods.
